Meet Our Team

Scott Hall – Owner

Scott provides the technology, finance and event planning expertise to JMS.  He delivers hisknow howto everyday situations and provides customized solutions for each of our association clients.  Following a career as an IT Director for a large broadcasting company, Scott designed and built Association Thrive ~ a membership and event management database tailored to the specific needs of professional associations.

In addition to Scott’s career in IT, he has over ten years of experience serving in an Executive Director role for professional associations and he has executed hundreds of events from large multi-day conferences to board retreats and meetings.  Scott has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado – Boulder.  In addition, he holds two Microsoft Certifications (MCSE & MCSA). 

Josie Chavez Hall – Owner

Josie Chavez Hall has over twenty years of administration experience. She worked twenty years as a paralegal and law office administrator in the Denver area prior to co-founding JMS in 2005.

Josie provides support to all of JMS association clients, she oversees all personnel and she brings her experience in project management, organization and detail to all JMS association clients.     

Mary Chavez Rudolph – Owner

Mary brings expertise in education and training, leadership development and certification. Mary has a masters in counseling psychology and counselor education, a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation and she has extensive experience with professional associations. She has served as a volunteer in board member and officer positions and served as Executive Director for a large national association.

Robert Chavez – Client Support & Account Coordinator

Robert Chavez has been with JMS for over ten years and he works on all association accounts, managing memberships, registrations and sponsorships. He provides meeting planning support and helps manage the JMS office.

Michelle Reyes – Client Support & Account Coordinator

Michelle Reyes has been with JMS for over eight years and she works on all association accounts. She supports member registration and events. When you call or come in, Michelle is usually the first person you will meet and she will help to answer all your questions.

Deborah Ortiz – Executive Director

Deborah has over 25 years experience working with non-profit organizations and universities. She serves as the Executive Director for the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, providing support to their Executive Board, annual conference, and oversees CSDCAS and all aspects of CAPCSD membership and administration. Deborah has a B.A. Degree in General Studies – Social, Behavioral, and Human Understanding Emphasis.

Ned Campbell – Director of Meetings and Continuing Education

Ned has over 30 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, primarily in the membership, continuing education and meetings areas. He developed expertise in association management, regulatory compliance, project management and business development while working for CPAs, accountants and bookkeepers. Ned serves as the Director of Meetings and Continuing Education for the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD) and oversees all of their meetings, annual conference, online education and CEU reporting. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and Florida Society of Association Executives.

Megan Woods – Manager

Megan has over 13 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, primarily in education software administration and program management.  She served as the Manager of Accreditation Systems for a large non-profit prior to joining JMS.

Megan currently works as a Manager for JMS working with the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Megan holds a master’s degree in Learning Design and Technology.

Colleen Schneider – Director of Meetings & Administration Support

Colleen’s background is in hospitality, specifically the hotel industry and she holds a degree in Hotel Management from Johnson & Wales University.  For over eleven years she worked for hotels in the catering and sales environment where she detailed many events including corporate, social, government and education. Negotiating contracts, working with meeting planners and taking care of hotel guests was part of her daily duties.  Colleen provides event planning and administration support to JMS Clients.

Janet Randles – Business Development Director

Janet has held positions in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry for the past 20 + years and also has 5 years of event planning experience. She has successfully represented city hotels and resort properties and was most recently with Vail Resorts as the Association Sales Specialist representing Keystone Resort & Conference Center and Crested Butte Mountain Resort.  Janet has her Bachelor of Science Degree from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh PA and also has her CHME (Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive) Certification through Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

Janet understands the importance of involvement and is active in several industry associations.  She is currently an Ambassador with the Colorado Society of Association Executives and is on the Board of Directors for Destination Colorado. She also served on the Board of Directors with the Rocky Mountain Chapter of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) for the past four years.

Janet is originally from Western PA and is still a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.  You will often find Janet with a camera in her hand taking photos of the beautiful Colorado landscape. Janet loves to mountain bike, ski and hike with her husband and two teenage boys.

Saba Ahmed – Education/Webinars

Saba has over 10 years of experience working with non-profits, specifically focused on accreditation, continuing education and professional development. Prior to joining JMS, Saba was heavily involved in education and workforce development for early learning teachers in the state of Maryland. Saba holds a M.A. in Special Education with a focus on Learning and Emotional Disabilities. 

Key Alliances

Although many of the resources that JMS provides are in-house services, we have alliances with outside professionals for specialized services. Some key alliances include legal resources that specialize in association and nonprofit organization law; management consulting firms focused on helping nonprofit organizations effectively address strategic issues; auditing and investment services; printing resources for promotional brochures, journals and newsletters; and insurance companies that specialize in working with associations.
